Black Rat nylon recovery strap, minimum breaking strength (MBS) 16,000Kg (16 Tonne). The high performance recovery strap for heavy 4WD and commercial vehicles. This recovery strap is designed to recover vehicles that are embedded in sand, mud etc. It acheives this by having the ability to stretch 20% of it's original length. This allows it to operate similar to a large rubber band between vehicles.

Safe setup suggestions
- The webbing can be subject to cutting if not located correctly, donot set it up over sharp edges or acute angles
- Use of axle straps and bridal is recommended
- Use of correcly rated shackles is recommended
- Attach to a vehicle where the attachment point is rated (not tow ball or tow point)
- Do not exceed the minimum breaking strength
Safety Guideline
- Massive forces are being exerted when attempting vehicle recovery. Vehicle occupants and observers/bystanders risk severe injury or death from flying objects (such as tow balls and shackles) when the recovery strap is attached incorrectly. It is suggested you use the following points as the minimum guideline when attaching the strap prior to use.
- Never attach recovery straps to vehicle fitting such as tow balls, tow bars, tie down points or tow hooks.
- Only attach recovery straps to approved recovery point/device that is suitably rated for use with the strap.
- Before attempting vehicle recovery all passengers must exit the vehicle and stand as far away as possible.
- Importantly, many attachments, bolted, welded or shackled are not adequate to the tonnage placed on them. This may result in suden tearing and breaking causing violent rebound. It is recommended to use compatible shackles, axle & bridal straps.
Note: If the webbing strap is cut or damaged DO NOT USE, take it to your local stockist for assessment repair.
