Max-Torque economy "six Shoe" centrifugal clutch. The "SS" clutch is the most popular choice among fun kart manufacturers. The secret to its success is its ability to take heat without ruining the garter spring. The spring is made from 302 stainless steel and it can take more than twice the heat of music wire used in competitors "look alike" clutches.

Use

Ideal for use on 4 stroke 5.5-6.5hp stationay engines with a 3600RPM limit

Assembly

Clutch can be installed with the sprocket facing inboard or outboard.
Never force the clutch on - remove burrs from shaft to ensure slide on fit
Use the keyway for positive drive - never install the clutch without the drive key
Grub screws are used only where the drive shaft end is not is threaded
Whenever possible hold the clutch on with a bolt and washer screwed into the end of the crankshaft
Washer diameter should always be 1-1/8" outside

Maintenance

Squirt 4 drops of 30 weight oil on clutch bushing just behind snap ring area by the sprocket.
Make sure bolt & washer are tight
Oil bushing every two(2) hours of use to maximise bushing efficiency
