This M12x1.5 thread repair kit contains 10 wire thread inserts, 2 applicators, a 12.4mm drill and a STI tap (oversized to suit OD of insert). Simply drill out the damaged thread using the specified drill size. Tap out the hole (use STI tap only, this tap is oversized to suit the OD of the insert, however retains the pitch of the original thread). Fit the insert onto the applicator and wind it in! Once inserted be sure to break off the wire thread insert tang to allow clearance through the whole insert.
