Austlift blue screw pin bow shackles are most commonly used for lifting applications, providing connections to chain, wire rope and other rated fittings within the marine, agricultural, mining and engineering industries. Conforms to AS2741 manufactured from Grade S material in bow configuration with screw pin hot dipped galvanised.

- Marked with WLL (working load limit) in Tonnes, quality grade, batch numbered, nominal size in mm and supplier identification.
- Proof tested to 2 x working load limit, with a minimum break force of 6 x WLL (working load limit.)

S Grade Shackles
- This is the most common of the grades because of its higher strength and compatible sizing with like strength straps, chains, and wire ropes. The diameter size of the pin is also bigger than the diameter size of the body. Sometimes they will also have pins that are a different colour from the body. While the common belief is that this is an identifier of standards, it is in fact just a way for suppliers to differentiate themselves.
Note this shackle has a WLL of 17 tonnes, with a MBF of 102 tonnes. You should keep this in mind when selecting the correct shackle for lifting versus towing purposes.
