C&M curved Gib head key remover designed to remove tapered gib keys. Gib keys are a tapered, notched machine keys used on power transmission keyed shafts to hold pulleys and gears tightly onto the shaft. To remove these keys you require a tapered crescent shaped tool, designed to be driven between the Gib head key head and the shaft end.
The design of the Gib head key remover features a tapered edge to ensure positive engagement with the key head and a long crescent shape to gently disengage the key from the shaft.
