Expert Maintenance Review
The shaker shoe eccentric (or shaker cam) is a high-cycle component responsible for the repetitive motion of the cleaning shoe. Over time, the contact surfaces can develop abrasion or "flat spots," leading to uneven sieve vibration and potential shaker arm failure. We recommend inspecting the eccentric surface and the internal bearing landing during every preventative maintenance check.
Upgrading to this 1045 carbon steel eccentric is a high-performance choice. The superior material density resists surface deformation much more effectively than standard cast alternatives. This ensures your cleaning system remains in top condition, maintaining the precise stroke required for maximum grain separation and ensuring a longer service life for the entire shaker drive assembly.
Installation Tip: Check the Shaker Arm
When installing a new 87316081 eccentric, always inspect the shaker arm (PN 87317702) and its associated bushes for wear. Even a high-strength eccentric will wear prematurely if the shaker arm has excessive "play" or if the bushes are perished. Ensuring all drive components are tight and correctly aligned provides a high-performance, reliable repair.
