Case-IH® Compatible Stainless Steel Tailings Elevator Tube
Restore reliable operation to your combine harvester’s tailings return system with this C&M made in Australia stainless steel tailings elevator tube. Designed for compatible Case-IH® Axial-Flow combines from the 1400 through to the 2500 Series, this direct-fit replacement provides improved resistance to corrosion, abrasive crop flow and premature wall thinning.
Manufactured by C&M at our engineering facility in Griffith, NSW, this tailings elevator housing replaces the original carbon steel tube with heavy-duty stainless steel construction. The extended wear design helps protect a high-wear section of the grain-handling system, supporting consistent tailings flow and a longer service life in demanding harvest conditions.
The tube is precision folded and welded to match the fit and function of the original housing. It is suitable for a broad range of Case-IH® Axial-Flow combines, including selected 1480, 1680, 2188, 2388, 2577 and 2588 machines.

Expert Maintenance Review
The tailings elevator tube operates in a high-wear area where unthreshed material is returned for further processing. During preventative maintenance, inspect the internal surface for polishing, thin sections, cracks, grain leaks and wear around the mounting points.
Also inspect the tailings elevator chain, paddles, sprockets, bearings and shafts. A stretched chain or damaged paddles can increase movement inside the tube, reduce conveying efficiency and accelerate wear on the replacement housing.
Recommended Maintenance Upgrade
When installing this stainless steel tube, inspect the tailings elevator chain and paddles for elongation, cracking or excessive wear. Check both elevator sprockets at the same time to help prevent worn drive components from damaging the new housing.
Installation Tip
Before removing the original tube, note the position of mounting brackets, covers and related hardware. Once the replacement is fitted, confirm that the chain runs centrally through the housing, check paddle clearance and rotate the elevator by hand before operating the combine.
