Expert Maintenance Review
The dynamic feed roll is a primary impact point for crop material and potential foreign objects entering the rotor. Standard wear plates are prone to rapid thinning or deformation, which can lead to uneven crop feeding and potential damage to the rotor intake. We recommend inspecting the leading edges of your DFR plates for "scalloping" or excessive wear during every preventative maintenance check.
Upgrading to a Hardox or Bis400 plate is a high-performance choice that maintains its structural integrity much longer than mild steel alternatives. This extended wear solution provides a reinforced intake surface, preventing costly mid-harvest maintenance and ensuring your New Holland® harvester maintains its high-capacity processing throughout the season.
Installation Tip: Bolt Integrity
When replacing these wear plates, we highly recommend using new Class 8.38 M10x25mm Cuphead bolts. Reusing old bolts can lead to failure under the extreme centrifugal forces of the dynamic feed roll. Ensuring a high-strength mechanical connection is vital to preventing plate detachment and rotor damage.
