Fendt® Compatible IDEAL® 7, 8, 9 & 10 Feeder House 4-Chain Assembly
Keep the feeder house and product feeding system on selected Fendt® IDEAL® combine harvesters in top condition with this C&M assembled complete 4-chain feeder house assembly. Designed for machines fitted with the 4-chain front feeder house configuration, it uses premium chrome-pin chain with 39 electroplated 6mm Grade 350 roll-serrated U-bar slats and high-tensile 1/2" UNC fasteners.
The C&M assembly uses 39 slats with a narrow 8-link outer-chain spacing, compared with the original Fendt® arrangement of 27 slats with a wider 12-link outer-chain spacing. The increased slat count provides a different crop-engagement pattern through the feeder house while retaining the correct 4-chain configuration for the listed machines.
This is supplied as a complete assembled feeder house chain with connectors and half links for each strand. The assembly uses premium chrome-pin chain, Grade 350 roll-serrated electroplated slats and high-tensile fasteners, and is assembled by C&M in Griffith, NSW ready for installation.

The C&M Difference
This feeder house chain is assembled by Collier & Miller in Griffith, NSW using premium chrome-pin chain and 6mm Grade 350 steel slats. The slats are roll-serrated rather than relying on a cut serration, and each slat is electroplated to provide corrosion resistance and a consistent surface for assembly.
The chains are factory pre-loaded and lubricated before assembly, helping reduce initial settling and tensioning requirements. High-tensile zinc-plated fasteners are used throughout, with thread-locking compound applied to the slat fasteners and locking nuts used to support reliable retention in service.
Expert Maintenance Review
Feeder house chain wear should be assessed together with sprocket condition. If the sprocket tooth profile is hooked, uneven or heavily worn, fitting a new chain onto those sprockets can affect engagement and tracking and place unnecessary load on the replacement assembly.
Because this C&M assembly uses a 39-slat, 8-link outer-chain spacing arrangement rather than the original 27-slat, 12-link arrangement, the different bar pattern is intentional. Confirm the complete chain path, sprocket condition and feeder house clearances before returning the machine to service.
Recommended Maintenance Upgrade
Inspect the feeder house sprockets when installing the new chain assembly. Replace sprockets that show significant tooth wear, hooking or uneven wear. Matching a new feeder house chain with serviceable sprockets supports correct chain engagement and helps reduce unnecessary wear on the new assembly.
Installation Tip
Before removing the existing chain, verify that the machine uses the 4-chain front feeder house configuration and compare the existing chain path and sprocket arrangement with the replacement assembly. The C&M 39-slat layout differs from the original 27-slat arrangement, so the closer 8-link slat spacing is a deliberate feature of this assembly.
Once fitted, check chain alignment, tension and clearance through the complete feeder house path. Confirm that all four strands run freely and evenly, and complete the normal tension and fastener checks required for the machine before returning the combine to operation.
