John Deere® X9 Compatible Premium Feeder House Sprocket - 13 Tooth

Keep the product feeding system on your John Deere® X9 combine harvester in top condition with this premium C&M feeder house sprocket. Designed specifically for the X9 1000 and X9 1100 combine harvesters, this heavy-duty replacement sprocket is manufactured for use with the CA557 feeder chain and features a 13-tooth configuration for correct chain feeding performance.

Manufactured in our Griffith factory, this single-piece tube assembly features four 13-tooth sprockets machined from high-grade 1045 steel. To ensure an extended service life under high radial loads, we use special heavy-wall seamless tubing and  nitride-hardened splines that is perfectly matched to OEM dimensions. Replacing worn sprockets is essential to maintain feeder chain alignment and prevent premature wear on your driveline.

Why Replace Worn Feeder House Sprockets?

The feeder house chain and sprockets work together as a matched drive system. As sprocket teeth wear, the tooth profile can become hooked or reduced in size, preventing the CA557 chain from seating correctly. Continued operation with worn sprockets can accelerate chain wear, increase vibration and contribute to inconsistent crop feeding.

Installing a new feeder sprocket restores the correct tooth profile and provides positive engagement with the feeder chain, helping keep the product feeding system operating smoothly under demanding harvest conditions.

Expert Maintenance Review

When replacing a feeder house chain on a John Deere® X9 combine, inspect the complete sprocket assembly at the same time. Check each sprocket for hooked teeth, uneven wear, damaged tooth profiles or excessive wear where the chain engages the sprocket.

Installing a new feeder chain onto heavily worn sprockets can reduce the service life of the replacement chain. For best results, replace worn sprockets as part of the feeder house overhaul so the new chain runs against an accurate and consistent tooth profile.

Installation Tip

Before installation, inspect the feeder sprocket tube, bearings, feeder chain bars and associated drive components for wear or damage. Following installation, confirm correct feeder chain alignment and tension according to the machine manufacturer's service procedure before returning the combine to operation.
