Case-IH® Compatible Feeder House Chain Slat
Enhance the reliability of your product feeding system with this premium C&M Australian-made feeder house chain slat. Specifically engineered for Case-IH® Axial-Flow combine harvesters, this high-performance 6mm U-bar is the professional solution for repairing worn components in the feeder house assembly.
Exclusive to C&M this bar is manufactured from Grade 350 steel, this slat features a significant engineering upgrade: rolled serrations. Unlike standard laser-cut slats which can leave heat-affected zones, the C&M roll-serration process consolidates the material within the tooth profile. This increases material density and effectively eliminates the micro-fractures that lead to premature bar cracking, providing a high-strength, extended wear solution for high-capacity harvesting.
240 Series Compatibility Note
This 6mm steel U-bar fits 240 series models up to Model Year 2017. Please note that 240 Series machines from MY18 onwards utilise a different cast-style bar and are not compatible with this steel component.

Expert Maintenance Review
The feeder house chain slats are under immense stress as they transition abrasive material into the threshing system. Laser-cut serrations often act as "stress-risers," where cracks begin to form under heavy load. By using rolled serrations, the material is compressed rather than removed, ensuring the slat maintains its structural integrity far longer. We recommend inspecting for slat "bowing" during preventative maintenance checks to identify worn components before they impact crop flow.
Upgrading to this high-performance C&M slat is a strategic choice to save money on major downtime. The increased fatigue resistance provided by the rolling process ensures your intake assembly stays in top condition, offering a significantly longer service life than standard U-bars in high-volume conditions.
Installation Tip: Bolt Hole Integrity
When repairing worn components, ensure the chain attachment links are clean and free of burrs. A secure, high-strength connection is vital to prevent the slat from "chattering," which can lead to premature hole wear. This is the ideal time to check your feeder house floor and front drum for wear to ensure a seamless product feeding transition.
