2 PORT Diaphragm N.C Soleniod Valve
SMC® VXD242-H-Z2H is a 2-port pilot-operated solenoid valve designed for water, featuring a 1/2" BSP port and 240VAC power with a DIN terminal, surge voltage suppressor, and light. It is a normally closed (N.C.) valve with a C37 (brass) body, NBR seal, and a max operating pressure of 1.5 MPa
Key applications
- Acts as a bridge between an electrical control system (PLCs) and physical fluid movement, allowing for remote operation without manual intervention.
- As a normally closed (NC) valve, it is used to safely block flow when power is lost and open the path only when energized.
- Its internal rubber bumpers reduce metal-on-metal noise, making it suitable for indoor factory settings where quiet operation is preferred.
Operational constraints
- This valve is not suitable for gravity-fed systems or applications with zero pressure. It relies on the fluid's own pressure to lift the diaphragm.
- While versatile, it is primarily designed for neutral media. It is not intended for use with aggressive chemicals, steam (without specific versions), or food and beverage processing.
