Replacement cotter bolt to fit common Bare Co. friction clutch base plates. This is a tapered bolt fitted with a prevailing torque nut and dish washer.
Directions for installation.
- Rotate cotter until flat side engages in shaft groove
- Use hammer to seat cotter bolt
- Tension to 100 Ft-Lb (136Nm)
- Use hammer to re-seat cotter bolt
- Re-Tension to 100 Ft-Lb (136Nm)
- Repeat after intial 8 hours, then each 40 hours of use

* Drive tubes MUST be greased every 20 hours. Excessive end thrust due to lack of grease will shear clamping cotter bolts.
