Case-IH® Compatible Stainless Steel Incline Elevator Head Front Cover
Repair the grain transition area at the top of the incline elevator with this C&M made in Australia stainless steel front cover. Designed for selected Case-IH® mid-series Axial-Flow combines, this direct-fit replacement suits compatible 1680, 1688, 2188, 2377, 2388, 2577 and 2588 models and replaces OEM part number 1319941C1.
Manufactured by C&M at our engineering facility in Griffith, NSW, the cover replaces the original mild steel component with heavy-duty stainless steel construction. This extended wear design provides increased resistance to abrasive grain movement, corrosion and premature thinning in the incline elevator head.
A worn front cover can allow grain and dust to escape from the elevator head and may expose adjoining components to additional wear. Replacing the cover before the material wears through helps maintain an enclosed grain path and supports reliable movement into the grain tank.

Expert Maintenance Review
The incline elevator head changes the direction of grain before it enters the grain tank, making the internal covers vulnerable to polishing and gradual wall thinning. Inspect the existing front cover for worn sections, cracking, distorted mounting holes, loose fasteners and signs of grain or dust leakage.
When the cover is removed, check the incline elevator chain, paddles, upper sprockets, bearings and shafts. A stretched chain, damaged paddle or worn sprocket can allow excessive movement inside the head and may increase contact with the replacement cover.
Recommended Maintenance Check
Inspect the rear cover and adjoining seals while the elevator head is open. Replacing worn covers or damaged sealing components together helps maintain an enclosed grain path and can reduce the risk of repeat repairs during harvest.
Installation Tip
Clean the mounting surfaces and compare the folded profile and bolt-hole positions with the original cover before installation. Tighten the mounting hardware evenly, then rotate the elevator by hand to confirm adequate chain and paddle clearance before operating the combine.
