Genuine BYPY® SFT/SO Series 1-3/4" x 6-Spline Tapered-Bolt Yoke

Restore a secure connection between your heavy-duty PTO driveline and machine input shaft with this genuine BYPY® SFT/SO Series 1-3/4" x 6-spline tapered-bolt yoke. Designed for compatible Bondioli & Pavesi® SFT/SO power take-off shafts, this replacement yoke provides the strength, alignment and dependable torque transfer required in demanding agricultural applications.

The yoke features a 1-3/4" diameter, 6-spline bore and uses a tapered-bolt locking system to provide positive engagement with the corresponding splined shaft. It is ideal for replacing a yoke that has become worn, cracked, distorted or damaged around the spline or retaining-bolt area.

Manufactured to suit the heavy-duty 42 mm x 130 mm universal-joint configuration used in compatible SFT/SO driveline assemblies, this genuine replacement component allows the damaged yoke to be repaired without unnecessarily replacing the complete PTO shaft.

Check Compatibility Before Ordering

PTO yokes can appear similar while using different shaft diameters, spline counts, locking systems or universal-joint dimensions. Before ordering, confirm that the machine shaft and existing PTO driveline match the specifications of BYPY part number 5090A0460.

  • Confirm the shaft diameter is 1-3/4"
  • Count the shaft splines and confirm there are 6 splines
  • Confirm the original yoke uses a tapered locking bolt
  • Measure one cross-kit bearing cap diameter: 42 mm
  • Measure the complete cross-kit width: 130 mm
  • Compare the original yoke and PTO shaft identification before installation

The C&M Difference

Collier & Miller supplies genuine PTO driveline components backed by practical agricultural parts knowledge. Our experienced team can help identify the correct replacement yoke by checking the shaft diameter, spline count, locking method, cross-kit dimensions and driveline series, helping minimise downtime and reduce the risk of ordering an incompatible component.

Expert Maintenance Review

When replacing a tapered-bolt yoke, inspect the complete PTO driveline and the machine input shaft. Check the splines for wear, deformation, corrosion or excessive movement, and examine the tapered bolt, retaining hardware and yoke bore for damage. A worn machine shaft can prevent the new yoke from seating correctly and may cause movement under load.

Inspect the universal-joint cross kit, bearing caps, retaining components, telescoping tubes and safety guarding at the same time. Replacing worn related components during the repair can help extend the service life of the driveline and maintain smooth, reliable operation.

Installation Tip

Before beginning work, shut down the tractor and implement, remove the ignition key and ensure the driveline cannot rotate. Clean the splined shaft and inspect it carefully before fitting the replacement yoke. Align the splines correctly and ensure the yoke slides fully into its intended operating position without being forced.

Install the correct tapered bolt in the specified orientation and tighten it to the manufacturer’s recommended torque. After assembly, confirm the yoke is securely retained, the universal joint articulates smoothly and the driveline operates without excessive movement. Refit all PTO guards and shields before returning the machine to service.
