High capacity 50,000Kg (50 Tonne) axle recovery strap for use in conjunction with our 100,000Kg snatch strap. Installed around the axles of large agricultural machinery such as combine harvesters as a pair to provide combined rating of 100,000Kg MBL.

Forming part of out 100 Tonne vehicle recovery system, use this pair of 50 Tonne axle straps to connect to the 100 Tonne snatch strap via the 100 Tonne center bridal and rated bow shackles.

Correct setup suggestions

• The nylon webbing can be subject to cutting if not located correctly, donot set it up over sharp edges or acute angles
• Use of axle straps and bridal is recommended
• Use of correcly rated shackles is recommended
• Attach to a vehicle where the attachment point is rated (not tow ball or tow point) 

Safety Guideline

Massive forces are being exerted when attempting vehicle recovery. Vehicle occupants and observers/bystanders risk severe injury or death from flying objects (suck as tow balls and shackles) when the recovery strap is attached incorrectly. It is suggested you use the following points as the minimum guideline when attaching the strap prior to use.

• Never attach recovery straps to vehicle fitting such as tow balls, tow bars, tie down points or tow hooks.
• Only attach recovery straps to approved recovery point/device that is suitably rated for use with the strap.
• Before attempting vehicle recovery all passengers must exit the vehicle and stand as far away as possible.

The anti recoil safety strap attached at the ends of the snatch strap are engineered to help eliminate the recoil of the main strap should tension exceed breaking rating of the strap. On destruction tests the strap breaks where the sewing ends on the eyes form. More importantly, many attachments, bolted, welded or shackled are not adequate to the tonnage placed on them. This may result in suden tearing and breaking causing violent rebound. It is recommended to use compatible shackles, axles & bridal straps.
